Position Summary
The Manager, Sales Operations is a key cross-functional lead in accelerating adoption of the Karius test by scaling the operational capabilities of our Commercial organization in the diagnostics space. This role requires a detail-oriented professional who will have a high attention to detail and will own the data quality and master data management to ensure the integrity and powers our KPI and business intelligence reporting. Working in close partnership with the Commercial Lead Team, the Manager, Sales Operations will generate, develop and analyze performance metrics across the Sales and Marketing funnel to drive data-informed decisions. This role also leads critical initiatives such as territory management, incentive compensation design, and field enablement to support effective commercial planning. The ideal candidate is a project management expert and will drive operational efficiency and champion business process innovation across our commercial and marketing operations platforms. Location: Redwood City, CA (Hybrid) or Remotely (US only)
Primary Responsibilities
• Develop, implement and maintain streamlined sales processes to improve productivity and efficiency. • Lead technical project manager to develop business process improvement within Salesforce, Hubspot, and integration with internal LIMS/ERP systems that drive commercial alignment and effectiveness.
• Support sales forecasting, budgeting and pipeline management process.
• Conduct in-depth analysis of sales performance and provide actionable insights.
• Evaluate and refine sales processes to improve efficiency and effectiveness.
• Perform business systems analysis to translate complex business problems into simple but effective solutions for Commercial team leads.
• Master data management of our CRM database so that Commercial leads can trust the accuracy and quality of our sales and customer data.
• Recommend, manage and track CRM enhancement projects.
• Ownership of the entire Deal Desk process, including but not limited to managing sales contracts in the CRM, renewals, expirations, and improving the automation process.
• Get hands-on using common systems development life cycle tools and other development tools to build solutions that enhance the Commercial team experience.
• Ensure adherence to best practices and consistency across teams.
• Design and develop complex queries, comprehensive reports, and analysis in order to facilitate fact-based business decisions.
• Perform business intelligence and analytics reporting to support commercial and field team initiatives.
• Act as the primary point of contact for sales system upgrades, troubleshooting, and integrations.
• Design and maintain dashboards and reports to track key sales metrics.
• Conduct in-depth analysis of sales performance and provide actionable insights.
• Support the execution of the commercial enablement strategy including specific tactics to help drive clear and consistent sales conversations with customers.
• Collaborate with the functional leaders to track all forecast attainment, sales contests and rewards programs, territory deployment, commission plans, and payments for the sales function.
• Partner with marketing to ensure smooth lead handoff and alignment on campaign effectiveness.
• Support ad hoc reporting and analysis requests.

Physical Requirements
Subject to extended periods of sitting and/or standing, vision to monitor and moderate noise levels. Work is generally performed in an office, lab or clinical environment.
Position Requirements
• Bachelor’s degree with a concentration in Business, Marketing, Sales, or equivalent; MBA or Master’s degree is preferred.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with expertise in data visualization.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills with the ability to influence cross-functional teams.
• 5-7+ years of experience in sales operations, or a similar role, preferably within the diagnostics, healthcare or life sciences industry. relevant sales operations experience with 4+ years of work experience required in Sales / Marketing Operations, Business Operations, and/or Strategy consulting.
• Advanced knowledge of CRM systems, including Salesforce/Hubspot in fast-paced biotech/tech start ups or similar environments.
• Extensive knowledge and experience in sales planning and compensation in the biotech/pharma/diagnostics industry.’
• Experience working in a high-growth or technology-driven organization.
• Experience with Looker Analytics or similar business intelligence tools.
• Proven track record of optimizing sales processes and driving measurable results.
• Advanced experience with Microsoft and Google Suites.
