In this role, you will:
The organization is seeking an Environmental Toxicologist with expertise in environmental risk assessment and environmental compliance initiatives. This position is integral to advancing the company’s commitment to responsible environmental stewardship. The ideal candidate will leverage scientific acumen, knowledge of international regulatory frameworks, and cross-functional skills to drive best-in-class environmental assessments. This role requires analytical capabilities, clear communication, and the ability to collaborate effectively across multidisciplinary teams to support the organization’s sustainability goals and regulatory obligations.
This position is remote (Canada).
Principal Responsibilities:
· Author comprehensive environmental risk assessments for chemicals, materials, and products.
· Assess and manage environmental impacts with a strong focus on current obligations and emerging regulations.
· Monitor, interpret, and advise on relevant global regulatory frameworks and scientific developments.
· Partner with internal stakeholders (R&D, Sustainability, Regulatory Affairs, Legal) to align business practices with environmental compliance requirements.
· Provide subject-matter expertise and strategic guidance on environmental impact of chemistries
· Author environmental portions of Chemical Hazard Profiles (CHPs), including classifications and environmental endpoint hazard assessments

Basic Qualifications:
1. Bachelor’s degree or higher in biology, chemistry, toxicology, pharmacology, biomedical or a related technical field of study
2. IT literacy and demonstrated proficiency in working with Microsoft programs (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Visio, Project, etc.).
3. Ability to understand and follow scientific/technical research, protocols, and procedures and the ability to analyze and interpret scientific data using computerized systems and databases.
4. Interpersonal communication and technical writing skills with proficiency in working effectively in a multidisciplinary team.
Preferred Qualifications:
1. Advanced degree in toxicology, environmental science or similar technical field.
2. Knowledge of environmental toxicology or environmental hazard assessment approaches.
3. Strong familiarity with global environmental regulatory standards such as REACH, EPA, and OECD guidelines.
4. Experience applying the Globally Harmonized System of Classification and Labeling of Chemicals (GHS) standard for the generation of Safety Data Sheets and labeling requirements.

Salary Range: 100,000 – 123,600 CADAt Kimberly-Clark, pay is just one aspect of our total rewards package, which also includes a variety of benefits and opportunities to achieve, thrive and grow. Along with base pay, this position offers eligibility for a target bonus and a comprehensive benefits suite, including our Profit Sharing plan. The anticipated base pay range for this role is provided above for a fully qualified hire. Actual pay will depend on several factors, such as location, role, skills, performance, and experience.
