A Brief Overview

The Auditor position is part of the Asia Pacific audit team, based in Hong Kong. The role is involved in financial, operational, compliance and IT related audits of RGA entities within the Asia Pacific region. Assesses control design and operating effectiveness and provides meaningful assurance based on data and unified risk view.

What you will do
  • Execute audit programs and procedures to achieve adequate audit assurance.

  • Obtain, analyze, appraise and document the supporting information to derive objective audit conclusions and recommendations.

  • Analyze large volume of data to assess risks and identify anomalies.

  • Communicate audit results and prepares audit reports for identified business process control improvements.

  • Follow up with process owners to ensure management action plans are properly addressed.

  • Participate in the ongoing risk assessments of the business to ensure audit assurance covers relevant business risks.

  • Act as liaison for internal management, external auditors and external audit clients to promote positive relationships with all stakeholders.


Qualifications

Required:

  • Intellectual curiosity and the desire to learn

  • High sense of ownership and accountability

  • Proactive and motivated to find solutions instead of waiting for instructions

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills to interact with all levels of associates

  • Strong critical thinking and root cause analysis skills

  • Ability to perform multiple projects simultaneously, balancing priorities and deliverables

  • Effective English speaking and writing skills

  • Ability to travel approximately 10-20% of work time

  • Proficient in Word, Excel, PowerPoint

Preferred:

  • Experience with data analytics tools such as Python, Power BI, Tableau, or ACL

  • Experience in developing and performing data analytic routines

  • Experience with audit work paper tool
