The position is responsible for developing new and updating existing Terminal operating, inventory, fleet operating and maintenance standards (Standard Operating Procedures – SOP’s), as well as their deployment throughout to all Astron Energy terminals to reduce risk and improve reliability and efficiency. The position coordinates all training and all operational organisational capability activities for Logistics operations.

•Create and update Terminal, Fleet, and Maintenance SOPs to improve safety and reliability
•Ensure SOPs are deployed across all terminals
•Co-ordinate all New Hire Training, on-going High Risk SOP training
•Co-ordinate all Competency Observations
•Ensure that training material is updated to reflect any changes
•Ensure that SOPs developed and updated involve subject matter expert reviews
•Ensure that SOPs are risk ranked
•Collaborate with engineering team to ensure that SOPs are developed and training completed on commissioning of new equipment
•Review lessons learned and apply to SOPs

Professional Qualification and Certifications:

Tertiary Qualification (Bachelors or National Diploma) in a Technical Area

Work Experience:

Operational experience (3 years minimum), preferably petroleum industry..

Knowledge and skills:

Technical skills – Engineering (advantageous);

Business writing proficiency;

Project/Program management experience;

Strong analytical thinking;

Strong influencing and communication skills;

Proficiency in MS Word, MS Excel, MS Power Point, Adobe
