Citi has established Global Business Services to simplify the bank by breaking down silos and driving ownership end-to-end by business service, where each business service provides a specific product or outcome to an external end-user (e.g., clients) and is made up of the related processes, data, technology, risks and controls.

Reporting to the Head of Business Services, the individual is responsible for leading adoption and execution of Business Services framework across the Services, Markets or Banking businesses.

Responsibilities:

  • Partner with Business Services leadership on the strategic direction and management of Citi’s Business Services function, including the establishment of frameworks (e.g., guidelines, methodologies, procedures), communication and positioning.
  • Engage, influence and coach business leadership and business service owners to adopt and execute the frameworks across each business service end-to-end, leveraging change management approaches and methods.
  • Monitor and report on progress of adoption and execution across multiple business services.
  • In the spirit of continuous improvement and simplification, assess frameworks, solicit business input and recommend appropriate enhancements.
  • Oversee multiple concurrent improvement programs within and in collaboration with the business service owners and teams for effective delivery to ensure:
    • Expected outcomes, and related measures of success, are well-defined and understood.
    • Clear ownership, well-defined roles and responsibilities.
    • Adjacent initiatives are understood and interdependent elements and opportunities to connect initiatives for greater impact are identified.
    • Timely and accurate weekly reporting on program delivery, measures of success, issue management tracking and cross-dependency management.
  • Coach, mentor and train team members on frameworks, principles, approaches, methods, and tools.


Qualifications & skills:

The individual will have a distinguished record of performance at a respected and sophisticated financial institution or consulting firm and possess deep knowledge of the various lines of business that make up ICG. Specific skills include:  

  • Identifying opportunities: Experience leading teams identifying simplification opportunities. Exhibits a mindset of creativity, innovation, and an energetic drive to achieve outcomes.
  • Overseeing programs: Extensive experience in managing highly visible, complex initiatives and/or consulting experience; Capable of diving into details, while bringing a strategic and big picture perspective.
  • Business Knowledge and Expertise: Deep subject matter expertise in financial services / banking, specifically related to the products / businesses of ICG.
  • Leading teams: Gets the best performance from people. Inspires commitment from people and mobilizes teams toward high performance and goal achievement.
  • Communicating complex topics: Excellent oral and written communications skills; must provide direction with judgement and authority to enable effective validation with senior stakeholders. Ability to communicate complex topics simply and easily-understood.
  • Collaborating and influencing business stakeholders: Has exceptional influencing skills; adept at driving organizational change through partnership, collaboration and leadership. Gains commitment and support from others by involving them in the decision making process.

Competencies/Skills

  • Master degree preferred
  • 15+ years or relevant experience in financial services industry

Primary Location Full Time Salary Range:

$170,000.00 - $300,000.00
