Our Software and DevSecOps Platform Engineering teams are the brains behind Australia’s number one banking app the Commbank app, Netbank, Cardless Cash, Comm Sec Pocket and Spend Tracker and the tools and infrastructure they rely on. They’re passionate about web and mobile development and creating reliable APIs at a unique scale in Australia, and they want you to be part of that journey.
As a member of the squad, you'll be part of the Engineering Quality crew, looking to transform the group capability to Automated Testing and supporting the bank's Engineering Platform integration with CI/CD tools, Test Automation Frameworks as well as an escalation point for a subset of those services or capabilities.

The Engineering Platform team, which ensure that CommBank has a world-class engineering capability and is at the forefront of technology, using innovative and emerging technology to help our customers and support our Group strategy. We work hard to ensure best practice is discovered and nurtured, whether inside CommBank or in the broader technology ecosystem.
We’re interested in hearing from people who:
Have strong software development experience eg; C#, Java, Javascript, Python
Can bring a quality engineering background would be highly regarded.
Have expertise with Test Automation and building quality gates.
Have demonstrated deep understanding of the differences and importance of unit, integration, and end to end tests.
Can develop and rollout test harnesses, frameworks, tools and infrastructure to enable test automation, on-demand test environment & test data.
Have experience engineering secure and reliable software and improving software systems with comprehensive test coverage.
Are team players and raising the bar by performing peer design/ code reviews, applying software reuse principles and develop creative solutions to tech debt.
Demonstrate solid design, debugging and problem-solving skills.
Have experience with public cloud infrastructure.
Can utilise standardised metrics and reporting to provide engineering metrics in relation to testing and quality insights.
Create well engineered, scalable and reliable tests.
Perform maintenance and monitoring of non production environments; automated ops will have an advantage.
Have previously worked with enterprise and legacy systems.
