About the Role
Provide general imaging services to the patients of  St Vincent’s Hospital Melbourne and St Vincent’s Private Hospital, whilst demonstrating leadership, specialist knowledge and experience.

  • Supervise an area of the department (general imaging portfolio), demonstrating leadership attributes and promoting a positive and supportive culture.
  • Fulfil clinical duties through performing a diverse range of routine and complex examinations to a high diagnostic standard, with a level of independence and expertise of a senior clinician.
  • Manage the daily operations of the general imaging department, including clinical, managerial and educational responsibilities.
  • Ensure provision of clinical supervision and training of employees and students within the relevant modalities.
  • Work in collaboration with managers and other members of the senior MID and SVPR team.


Classifications for this position will range from Medical Imaging Technologist Grade 4 AF31-AF34 ($123,609- $136,203 per annum pro rata).


Your Contribution

  • Bachelor of Applied Science in Medical Radiation or equivalent.
  • Ability to lead and contribute effectively as a participative team member within a multidisciplinary team environment.
  • AHPRA registration to practice as a Medical Imaging Technologist, and a valid radiation use license.  
  • Demonstrated extensive or advanced clinical competency within General X-ray.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills, and prior experience in clinical supervision.
  • Current National criminal history check, or willing to obtain

About Medical Imaging
St Vincent’s Medical Imaging (MI) provides four comprehensive diagnostic imaging programs across three campus sites.

St. Vincent’s Medical Imaging Department (MID) is a tertiary imaging department providing  a comprehensive range of diagnostic and interventional imaging services to SVHM’s inpatients and outpatients.
