Job Description
 

Gilead's mission is to discover, develop, and deliver therapies that will improve the lives of patients with life-threatening illnesses worldwide.  As the Associate Director, Opinion Leader Programming, HCV/HBV you will be responsible for supporting Opinion Leader Programming for the US HCV and HBV Marketing teams. 

The Associate Director will be a key contributor on the OLP Marketing team responsible for supporting the Liver Business Unit for HCV and HBV.  They will lead advisory boards, speaker bureaus, support content and KOL engagement.  They will be responsible for management of key partnership with agencies and associations in HCV and HBV.  The Associate Director will play a role in the continued success of the HCV and HBV Franchises along with various cross functional stakeholders (Legal, Medical Affairs, Regulatory, Marketing Operations and Sales) and external vendors to implement strategy and tactics aligned to established business goals and objectives.

This position is onsite three days per week (Tues - Thurs) in Foster City and not open to remote work.

Responsibilities

  • Support Liver KOL engagement & development w/ OLP team and brand teams.
  • Lead operational execution for Liver Franchise speakers such as contracting, training plans, performance metrics, monitoring, and field support.
  • Collaborate with brand team in development and execution of speaker content and training for HCV/HBV speakers.
  • Collaborate with sales teams and leadership on speaker program execution.
  • Support key conference planning and lead HCV/HBV specific conference engagement.
  • Collaborate with brand team in development and execution of HCV/HBV ad boards.
  • Lead HCV/HBV OLP Field Insights
  • Support Liver Franchise OLP strategy & planning.
  • Ensures OLP operational excellence through the collaboration with sales, legal, OLP operations, medical, finance.
  • Effectively manage agency partners to produce deliverables within timelines and budgets.
  • Manage marketing budget closely and ensure expenditure is aligned with the brand strategy and tactical plans.

Basic Qualifications:

Bachelor's Degree and Ten Years’ Experience

OR

Masters' Degree and Eight Years’ Experience

OR

PhD and Two Years’ Experience

Preferred Qualifications:

Bachelors Degree and Ten years experience

Prior pharmaceutical marketing experience preferably in Opinion Leader Marketing

Familiar with Pharma national and global conferences and planning

The salary range for this position is: $195,670.00 - $253,220.00. Gilead considers a variety of factors when determining base compensation, including experience, qualifications, and geographic location. These considerations mean actual compensation will vary. This position may also be eligible for a discretionary annual bonus, discretionary stock-based long-term incentives (eligibility may vary based on role), paid time off, and a benefits package.
