About the Role & Team

The Motion Pictures team is accountable for the sales, distribution and marketing of approximately 30 cinematic releases per year across the Marvel, Lucas, Disney, Pixar, Fox, Fox Searchlight, and BlueSky brands.

The role is accountable for delivering an effective, timely and accurate Annual Operating Plan, Forecast, FYP and close process across a group of markets along with completing regional costs and consolidation. The role requires effective collaboration with financial and non-financial business partners, influencing key budget holders around risks and opportunities, and proactively identifying opportunities for business improvement.

This is an office-based role. 4 days working in the Hammersmith, London office with 1 day working from home (Monday or Friday).

What You Will Do

Delivery-

  • Analyse and interpret reports and wider business data to identify risks and opportunities for Motion Pictures
  • Prepare presentations to communicate clear financial messages to a non-technical audience
  • Use your own initiative to highlight problems before they arise and propose solutions to mitigate business risk
  • Provide financial support to multiple budget owners across multiple geographies, ensuring all budgeting, forecasting and financial processing is delivered on time and to high-quality standards
  • Consolidate regional view of Motion Pictures throughout the forecasting and planning cycle
  • Take ownership of discrete Finance projects to deliver improved financial management or systems to a part of the business

Business partnering-

  • Build relationships with key budget holders to provide specialist advice, guidance and support to help Motion Pictures’ financial management
  • Influence key budget holders on the basis of identified risks and opportunities to help guide future business planning

Required Qualifications & Skills

  • Degree level and accounting qualification is essential with proven experience in an equivalent analytics role.
  • Experience working within the finance sector preferably for a complex matrix organization.
  • Experience in supporting commercial management to a high standard and working with the Regional Finance and Commercial head office.
  • Proven track record of providing commercial support to a business partner that’s insightful, timely and responsive.
  • Ability to produce clear and insightful analysis that delivers key messaging at the appropriate level of detail.
  • Numerate and analytical, result-focused and outcome-driven with a desire to think through and resolve problems.
