Job Description:

General Description: This position is responsible for managing a data collection, analysis and reporting to improve the patient experience at the OU Health. Will manage projects and educate and train associates, physicians and leaders in patient experience measurement.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Acts as the OU Health expert on patient experience survey methodologies, along with other qualitative and quantitative patient experience metrics.
  • Identifies industry-wide best practices related to patient experience capture and reporting. Stays up to date on consumer engagement and voice of the customer collection strategies and methods. Including non-healthcare best practices. Develops innovative ways to better hear and understand the voice of the patient / customer.
  • Monitors and maintains all patient experience survey tools to ensure maximum effectiveness, including methodology, survey setup, sampling, response rate, etc. Works collaboratively with stakeholders to ensure upload file accuracy.
  • Creates, maintains, and distributes standardized reporting of patient experience data across OU Health. Maintains ongoing development and distribution of automated reporting. Creates custom on-demand reports as needed (e.g. Goal data, Finance, Coaching, etc.).
  • Trains and coaches leaders on accessing and using patient experience data, including running reports, and interpreting scores.
  • Practice and adhere to “Code of Conduct”.
  • Responsible for education and training of associates, physicians and leaders for understanding of the patient experience measurement and its Responsible for data mining and/or report development in support of enterprise operations.

Minimum Qualifications:

Education: Bachelor's in Information Technology, Computer Science, Math, Statistics or other related field.

Experience: 1 year experience in statistical analysis required.  Experience working in a healthcare setting is preferred.

OR an equivalent combination of education and experience

License(s)/Certification(s)/Registration(s) Required: None

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Knowledge and experience working with patient experience tools and report or other similar survey tools and reports
  • Process improvement experience is highly desired and process improvement with a focus on patient experience and patient satisfaction is preferred.
  • Customer service mindset and superior interpersonal and communications (verbal, written, and listening) skills.
  • Ability to interact and connect with people is required.
  • Able to present to leadership groups.
  • Project management experience desired.
  • Strong organizational, analytical and problem solving skills required, with emphasis on attention to detail and ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Creative abilities to show case data and information in new and end-user friendly ways.
  • Demonstrates a thorough understanding of survey design and administration, as well as basic statistical methods for analyzing survey results.
  • Demonstrated thorough understanding of relevant CMS survey regulations.
  • Strong demonstrated skills in databases, spreadsheets, reporting, and presentation software.
  • Experience with Tableau preferred.
