Our challenge

We are seeking a highly experienced AI & Data Engineering Architect with extensive expertise in designing, developing, and implementing end-to-end data platforms, AI models, and enterprise solutions across cloud and multi-cloud environments. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Big Data, Data Science, Generative AI, NLP, and MLOps, with hands-on experience in deploying scalable, secure, and high-performance data architectures.

Additional Information*

The base salary for this position will vary based on geography and other factors. In accordance with law, the base salary for this role if filled within Las Vegas NV is $120k - $140k/year & benefits (see below).

The Role

Responsibilities:

  • Design, architect, and develop scalable data models, ETL pipelines, and analytics solutions using tools like Spark, Databricks, Snowflake, Hadoop, and cloud platforms such as AWS and Azure.
  • Lead the development and operationalization of Generative AI solutions, including LLMs, diffusion models, and multi-modal systems, utilizing frameworks like Hugging Face, LangChain, and OpenAI APIs.
  • Fine-tune and deploy large language models (LLMs) such as GPT, BERT, LLAMA, catering to domain-specific needs.
  • Implement retrieval-augmented generation (RAG), semantic search, and multi-modal workflows to enhance enterprise search and decision-making capabilities.
  • Architect and optimize data lakes, Delta Lake, Data Mesh, and Data Fabric solutions ensuring data reliability, schema enforcement, and high performance.
  • Develop and automate data pipelines for model training, evaluation, inference, and continuous learning using tools such as Azure Data Factory, AWS Glue, and MLflow.
  • Build and maintain enterprise data models, visualizations, and dashboards using Tableau, Power BI, and QlikView.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate AI models into enterprise workflows, ensuring scalability, security, and compliance.
  • Handle petabytes of data across multiple sources, ensuring efficient data ingestion, transformation, and analytics.
  • Engage in NLP projects including sentiment analysis, chatbots, text classification, and computer vision tasks.

Requirements:

  • 12+ years of experience in Data Engineering, AI, and Cloud Solutions.
  • Expertise in cloud platforms like AWS (SageMaker, Bedrock, S3, Redshift) and Azure (Azure ML, AI Studio, Data Factory).
  • Strong knowledge of Big Data ecosystems: Hadoop, Spark, Hive, Snowflake, DataBricks.
  • Proficiency in Python, R, Scala, SQL, and Java.
  • Hands-on experience with ML/DL frameworks: TensorFlow, PyTorch, Keras.
  • Demonstrated experience with large language models, retrieval systems, and generative AI.
  • Skilled in MLOps, DevOps, CI/CD pipelines, Docker, Kubernetes, Terraform.
  • Strong understanding of data modeling, database architecture (NoSQL, SQL).
  • Excellent problem-solving, communication, and leadership skills.

Preferred, but not required:

  • Cloud certifications (AWS, Azure), Data Science, AI Architect certifications.
