Overview:

Originate, underwrite, negotiate, close and service commercial real estate loans of large dollar amount and high complexity.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Provide a high level of customer service to an existing customer base and develop new relationships.
• Attending to the needs of commercial real estate clients seeking loans, prospecting, underwriting and originating new loans.
• Participate in the management of the existing portfolio based on departmental objectives.
• Closely monitor the existing portfolio for any potential credit deterioration and actively address and potential impact to risk ratings.
• Call on potential and existing customers to develop new business and increase existing business.
• Perform special projects such as recruiting, due diligence, and acquired portfolio absorption.

Scope of Responsibilities:

The position has extensive contact with customers, underwriting complex credit facilities, extending credit and providing Bank services. Communication with attorneys and clients to coordinate closing, service existing credits, and develop new business.

Education and Experience Required:

Bachelors degree or equivalent in work experience

Minimum of 7 years commercial real estate lending experience

Strong credit analysis skills

Proven track record in new business development

M&T Bank is committed to fair, competitive, and market-informed pay for our employees. The pay range for this position is $136,000.00 - $226,600.00 Annual (USD). The successful candidate’s particular combination of knowledge, skills, and experience will inform their specific compensation.
