Job Description

U.S. Bank is seeking a Marketing Generalist to deliver marketing and banker engagement strategies for business credit card products and services, specifically designed for an audience of small to mid-size businesses. Ensures appropriate staff is familiar with the products and their applications. Assists in the development of promotional strategies to help meet marketing goals. This could include development of sales collateral, communications, advertising, sponsorships, events and tradeshows. Other components of the role include:
  • Developing resources and sales materials that support the customer information needs at various stages in the sales process, reinforcing U.S. Bank as the partner of choice.

  • Owning the creative development and project components with internal teams or external vendors associated with the key product and process initiatives. 

  • Developing creative/project brief and routing to Manager for review prior to submission. Reviewing and routing materials to appropriate SMEs. Ensuring final SME comments incorporated and then routing to all necessary regulatory and compliance reviews.

  • Collaborating with internal partners to ensure that all marketing programs are in accordance with all laws, regulations and bank policies.

  • Working closely with both internal and external stakeholders to deliver innovative marketing campaigns and materials that drive understanding, interest and demand for our solutions.

  • Monitoring evaluating and reporting results from initiatives and leveraging those findings to inform future and ongoing efforts.

Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree, or equivalent work experience
- Four to six years of experience in marketing or related field

Preferred Skills/Experience

  • Proficiency in writing creative briefs

  • Financial institution or credit card marketing experience

  • Thorough knowledge of marketing and sales strategies

  • Advanced knowledge of advertising/promotion and new business development

  • Experience managing external vendors and establishing strong partnerships with internal teams.

  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite especially PowerPoint.

  • Ability to lead projects and provide marketing that is data-driven, customer-centric, and relevant

  • Ability to work as part of and bring alignment to a cross-functional team.

  • High degree of initiative and results orientation with a strong attention to detail. Proactive self-starter, who sets priorities, takes on new projects and drives deliverables.

  • Ability to work in fast-paced dynamic environment.

  • Demonstrated ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously and accurately in order to meet varying deadlines.

  • Comfortable working through shifts in program direction while still adhering to initial timelines.

  • Demonstrated ability to influence, manage, and present ideas via excellent clear written and verbal communication skills.

  • Strong analytical and research skills

Location Expectations

This role is hybrid. Team members who are in a hybrid role typically spend three days a week at the listed U.S. Bank location(s), while having flexibility on their work location for the other working days.

The salary range reflects figures based on the primary location, which is listed first. The actual range for the role may differ based on the location of the role. In addition to salary, U.S. Bank offers a comprehensive benefits package, including incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase 401(k) contribution and pension (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). Pay Range: $81,515.00 - $95,900.00
