Summary
HP, Inc. is seeking a dynamic and technically skilled Technical Sales Specialist to drive the adoption of HP SitePrint, our robotic layout solution, in the material handling and automation industry. This role will blend technical acumen in industrial layout and alignment for material handling and automation with strong customer engagement skills. The ideal candidate also has deep experience working with general contractors, systems integrators, and engineering teams deploying conveyor systems, racking, robotics, and other warehouse infrastructure.
Remote position with travel, based in one of the following locations: SE Wisconsin, Michigan, Ohio, Indiana, Illinois, Kentucky, Tennessee
Key Responsibilities
Lead pre-sales efforts for HP SitePrint in the material handling and industrial automation sectors as well as supporting our building construction efforts in the sector.
Collaborate with customers to understand layout and alignment challenges in warehouse, logistics, and distribution center environments.
Assist in setting technical best practices, in collaboration with global colleagues, for layout/alignment in the sector using HP SitePrint.
Conduct product demonstrations, proof-of-concept deployments, and customer deployments.
Build and manage relationships with automation integrators and industrial engineering stakeholders.
Act as a technical advisor on layout specifications, CAD integration, and alignment tolerances related to SitePrint deployment
Partner with HP channel partners to make them self-sufficient in providing best in class technical sales, service, and support.
Attend industry events (MHEDA, MODEX, ProMat, etc.) and contribute domain expertise to targeted marketing campaigns.
Provide feedback to product and engineering teams on customer needs, feature enhancements, and performance
Meet and exceed assigned sales quotas and strategic goals.
Required Qualifications
5+ years of experience in technical sales, solutions engineering, or layout coordination in the material handling, industrial construction, or automation sectors
Working knowledge of industrial alignment, surveying, and layout principles, CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit), and field alignment standards
Proven success selling or supporting layout, robotics, or construction technology solutions
Excellent communication and presentation skills with the ability to engage both technical and executive stakeholders.
Willingness to travel up to 75% as needed for customer visits, demos, and industry events.
Preferred Qualifications
Familiarity with HP SitePrint or other competitive robotic layout solutions.
Experience in the warehouse construction, system integration, and/or rack installation layout processes.
Background in surveying, total station operation, or precision alignment technologies.
Degree in Civil or Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
The on-target earnings (OTE) range for this role is $121,750 to $191,150 USD annually with a 80%/20% (salary/incentive) mix. There are additional opportunities for pay in the form of bonuses and/or equity (applies to United States of America candidates only). Pay varies by work location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
