This is a Senior Claim Counsel position on the Financial Lines Claims team. The individual in this position will primarily focus on severity claims, with emphasis on Employment Practices, Private D&O, Professional Liability for technology firms. Ideally, the candidate will have a minimum of twelve years of relevant experience. The individual in this position will have responsibility for handling a pending of approximately 75 of the unit’s highest severity matters at any given time. The position requires the ability to independently evaluate coverage, liability and damages; proactively formulate and execute claim resolution strategies; and, without the assistance of counsel, attend mediations, navigate complex settlement dynamics and drive and influence best possible claim outcomes.JOB DESCRIPTION:

In District of Columbia, California, Colorado, Connecticut, Illinois, Maryland, Massachusetts, New York and Washington, the national base pay range for this job level is $97,000 to $189,000 annually. Salary determinations are based on various factors, including but not limited to, relevant work experience, skills, certifications and location.
