Kennel Technician – Mission Valley Pet Clinic

Mission Valley Pet Clinic has proudly served the Allied Garden community for over 30 years, providing high-quality care for dogs and cats. We’re a dedicated, long-standing practice with a warm, supportive team that values compassionate care for pets and excellent service for their families. Our clinic is well-equipped, offering digital X-rays, a therapeutic K-laser, and more, in a friendly environment.

Compensation: $17.00 / hr

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide clean, comfortable housing for boarded pets
• Feed, and monitor animals for any signs of illness or distress
• Maintain a clean and organized kennel area, including daily cleaning and sanitation
• Assist with bathing and light grooming tasks as needed
• Provide medications to pets as directed by veterinarians or technicians
• Record and report any changes in animal behavior or condition to the veterinary staff
• Communicate with pet owners about their pet’s stay when required
• Support other clinic tasks as needed, including assisting with appointments or inventory

Qualifications:

• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow directions
• Compassionate, patient, and professional when handling animals
• Ability to lift 40 lbs and work on your feet for extended periods
• Reliable and flexible, with availability to work weekends or holidays as needed
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
