ROLE SUMMARY
Pfizer Vaccine has various vaccine products (Cominaty, Prevenar13/20, Abrysvo) that will lead the growth of Pfizer Japan, and Prevenar/Gobik/Ticovac are new vaccines which were launched/approved in 2024.
Gobik/Ticovac Marketing Senior Brand Manager will have commercial responsibility for Gobik and Ticovac as follows;
1) Gobik is a DPT-IPV-Hib vaccine which is for pediatric population, launched/designated NIP (national immunization program) in Mar/Apr 2024, and it is a co-promotion product.
2) Ticovac is a vaccine against Tick bone encephalitis virus which is spread through the bite of an infected tick. There is a high unmet medical need since no treatment as well as vaccine are currently available for TBE. Ticovac was approved in Mar 2024 and will be launched in 2024.
This roll will have responsibilities for commercial activity including strategy development and tactics roll-out by leveraging omni-channels closely working with internal and cross-functional members in various functions such as global, region and local arena. In addition, collaboration with external stakeholders will be required such as an engagement with medical society and municipality.
ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES
Specific responsibilities of the role include, but are not limited to:
- Develop launch strategy, lead commercial activities for Gobik & Ticovac
- Understand overall vaccine market and the environment surrounded with pediatric vaccine & Ticovac, customer insights to develop robust strategy.
- Develop tactics based on analysis obtained from data, facts, and insights, and lead commercial activities by leveraging omni-channels
- Implement pre/post launch activities by leveraging internal resources and partnerships with third-party vendors, industry organizations, and, if required, other pharmaceutical companies
- Keep eyes open for new information regarding Pfizer’s vaccines, competitors, local and global markets, latest discussions among KOLs and academia, and legislation in Japan
- Lead discussions among global/regional/local colleagues to create strategy and ensure all the cross-functional colleagues pursuing the same goal
- Develop revenue forecasts for Gobik & Ticovac in consistency with global and regional teams for strategies, assumptions, and models
- Oversee promotional content development and marketing activities for HCPs, consumers and municipality, make sure those activities are executed in a compliant manner
- Manage marketing budget and ensure related expenses are timely completed within budget
- Work with team members through coaching and mentoring;
- Provide the guidance and coaching to brand managers and other members in vaccine TA as necessary to ensure their success as well as self-growth
- Create culture and workplace environment that foster enthusiasm, collaboration and engagements with peers and team members
- Adhere to Pfizer company policies, compliance rules/regulations, SOPs, and pharmaceutical regulatory guidelines
QUALIFICATIONS
- BA or BS required
- 3+ years of experience in pharmaceutical marketing experience is required, and the experience in vaccine field is preferred
- Fluent communication in Japanese and English in both writing and speaking
- Analytic and strategic thinking and ability to articulate business direction and priorities
- Strong leadership, project management, and coordination skills across large groups of cross-functional teams. Matrix team management experience is preferred
- Actively contribute to creating and implementing innovative ideas, as well as to fostering culture of collaboration and teamwork
- Understand analytic tools/methods, demonstrate the ability to collect customer insights, and translate them to implications which lead to the robust brand strategy
- Strong presentation skills in both English and Japanese
- Build broad accountability, trust, empower, and adapt your own style to fit needs of the situation and individual
- Be agile in delivering the values of Pfizer vaccines
