Job Summary

As a Network Technical - Specialist, you will provide technical service, solutions and support to the networks, infrastructure, products and services supplied and operated by Telstra.

Job Description

Focus of the Role: Provide full desktop support to our Defence customer, handling BAU activities, incidents, service requests, project tasks, and information requests on the customer's ICT environment. Support TC networks, including Unified Comms, Wireless, and Audio Visual. Drive customer advocacy and profitable growth.
 

Candidates must be Australian Citizens with a current Baseline Security Clearance, preferably NV1 Security Clearance. This role requires maintaining an Australian Government NV1 Security Clearance or having Baseline clearance and the ability to obtain NV1 Security Clearance.
 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and install video conferencing equipment in the defence environment.
  • Conduct Audio Visual health checks.
  • Escort sub-contractors across JSF Precinct.
  • Provide VTC and desktop support.
  • Obtain classified briefing for Zone 5 tasking and Air Side access.
  • Capture deliveries in CableSolve and Tamit.
  • Work with VIP customers to deliver premium onsite service.
  • Manage workload within the customer's services management tool to meet SLAs.
  • Resolve incidents and deliver service requests within SLAs.
  • Update records documentation to maintain ICT environment accuracy.

Skills Required:

  • High-level customer service, negotiation, and facilitation skills.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Strong organisational and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work autonomously and under tight deadlines.
  • Understanding of HSE practices and risk management.
  • Commercial mindset in decision making.
  • Compliance with timesheet and project booking practices.
  • Willingness to travel interstate as required
  • Proficient in Telstra SOE applications and general PC applications and hardware.
