What You Will Do: 

The Guidehouse Internship Program staffs interns on real world projects, showcases the Guidehouse culture, and provides Interns with a meaningful consulting experience. Interns work with teams and provide real-time deliverables in support of the clients. Each Intern is paired with a Buddy to serve as a resource that can assist them in navigating their Guidehouse experience. 

Highlights of our Internship Program include: 

  • 10-week experience in the Summer of 2025 (Anticipated to start Monday, June 2nd and run until Friday, August 8th) 

  • Learning & Development Sessions (both E-learning & Instructor-Led) 

  • Performance management, including developing goals and holding Mid-Point and Final Evaluations 

  • Networking & Social Activities and Events 

  • Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) Intern Event 

  • Intern Speaker Series 

  • Staffing on active Guidehouse projects 

 

Federal Civilian Agencies (FCA) interns support Federal government clients to better meet their mission.  We work directly with our clients to develop innovative solutions that help improve the effectiveness and efficiency of their organization. 

 

As an intern, you will work in a team to help clients optimize all elements of their finance organization, including operating model design, sustainable cost reduction, financial planning and analysis, management reporting, financial systems architecture, and full-scale finance transformation. 

 

Key responsibilities may include: 

  • Provide ongoing financial management support to Federal client in accordance with Federal financial management requirements 

  • Support quantitative development of business case documentation (e.g., needs analysis, cost/benefit analysis) 

  • Prepare, review, and reconcile various financial business documents (e.g., invoices, travel vouchers) 

  • Identify and suggest process improvement opportunities 

  • Develop work products that clearly synthesize information into recommendations for clients 

  • Facilitate client meetings to gather data and understand client needs and desired outcomes 

  • Prepare training materials and facilitate knowledge transfer to client stakeholders 

 
What You Will Need: 

  • Minimum Years of Experience: 0 years  

  • Minimum Degree Status Required: Graduating with an undergraduate or advanced degree from an accredited program between Fall 2025 and Summer 2026 

  • Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the country 

  • No current or future sponsorship is available for this position 

 
What Would Be Nice To Have: 

  • Degree/Majors Preferred: Accounting, Business, Economics, Finance, or another quantitative field with proven academic success 

  • Strong interest in serving Federal clients within the civilian sector that have strong mission programs 

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Visio and Excel 

  • Outstanding analytical and problem-solving skills 

  • Familiarity with economic and financial analysis and research 

  • Proactive and independent work style 

  • Ability to assume ownership of significant portions of tasks while collaborating with a close-knit team 

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills 

  • Strong conceptual, as well as quantitative and qualitative analytical skills
