Job Description:

SUMMARY: Responsible for maintaining the clean and orderly condition of assigned areas in the Casino and offices as well as other facilities owned by CEDA and the Picayune Rancheria of the Chukchansi Indians. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following: Interacts effectively with the public and Team Members. Performs excellent customer service at all time. Cleans property floors by sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, or vacuuming. Moves or pushes furniture in order to sweep or mop underneath. Gathers and empties wastebaskets; empties and cleans ashtrays. Services, cleans and supplies restrooms. Dusts furniture, walls, and equipment. Cleans windows, glass partitions, and mirrors, using soapy water or other cleaners, sponges, and squeegees. Sweeps stairwells and cleans elevators. Ensures that all cleaning materials, chemicals and equipment are used per the manufacturer’s instructions. Reports any hazardous conditions or broken equipment immediately to the supervisor. Advises management of repairs, or supply shortages in assigned areas and is accountable for cleanliness and overall condition of assigned area. Complies with established safety precautions when using equipment and supplies. Performs other related duties as may be required. Maintains a consistent, regular attendance record and communication with management. . Performs any reasonable request made by management. QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Previous housekeeping experience preferred. LANGUAGE SKILLS: Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence and memos. Ability to communicate with supervisors and other team members. MATHEMATICAL SKILLS: Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. REASONING ABILITY: Ability to apply commonsense reasoning to a variety of situations. PHYSICAL DEMANDS: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by a Team Member to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the Team Member is regularly required to stand, walk, use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear. WORK ENVIRONMENT: The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those a Team Member encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the Team Member regularly works near moving mechanical parts and is regularly exposed to risk of electrical shock. The Team Member is regularly exposed to risk of exposure to cleaning chemicals used in the maintenance of the property and is required to work in a smoke filled environment. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. When on the casino floor, the noise level increases to loud. When on the casino floor, the Team Member will be exposed to a smoke-filled environment.
