Hotel Manager | The Sebel Bowral Heritage Park

Nestled at the base of Mount Gibraltar and surrounded by country gardens and lush greenery, the Sebel Bowral Heritage Park is a peaceful and relaxing retreat in the Southern Highlands, just an hour and a half south of Sydney.

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Resort Manager to lead and inspire a highly professional and dedicated team whilst steering the business operations and strategies for this one of a kind property.  You will play a vital role in overseeing and managing all operational aspects of our resort, ensuring exceptional service delivery, operational efficiency, and guest satisfaction.

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING:

  • Lead and manage the overall operations of the resort, including front office, housekeeping, and maintenance.
  • Be hands on with a small team, engaging with guests directly.
  • Develop and implement effective strategies to achieve and exceed marketing targets.
  • Revenue management with the central revenue team.
  • Maintain and enhance operational standards to exceed guest expectations.
  • Develop and implement effective strategies to optimize operational efficiency and productivity.
  • Collaborate with the team to establish and maintain effective communication channels, fostering a positive and cohesive team environment and workplace culture.
  • Mentoring and coaching the team to enhance skills and maintain high service.
  • Maintain a strong focus on guest satisfaction, promptly engaging in service recovery.
  • Stay updated with industry trends, competitor analysis, and best practices to drive innovation and improvement.
  • Ambassador of unique experiences for guest and staff.

YOUR SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE INCLUDES: 

  • Experience as a Hotel / Resort Manager, Assistant Hotel Manager or in a similar leadership role within the hospitality industry.
  • An eagerness to grow personally and professionally.
  • Exceptional organizational and time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to liaise effectively with guests, staff, and senior management.
  • Sound knowledge of hotel operations, including revenue management, front office, housekeeping and maintenance.
  • Familiarity with property management systems and other relevant software.
  • Ability to make strategic decisions and problem-solve effectively, even in high-pressure situations.
  • A passion for delivering exceptional customer service.
