The IT Senior Project Manager – M&A leads cross-functional teams to plan and execute complex, enterprise-scale IT initiatives supporting mergers, acquisitions, divestitures, and major facility transitions (Move–Add–Change). This role is accountable for end-to-end delivery across multiple business units, ensuring alignment between IT strategy, business objectives, and transaction timelines. The role oversees project scope, requirements, schedules, budgets, resource planning, risk management, and stakeholder communications to ensure operational and technology readiness for Day 0 and Day 1, as well as successful execution of post-close milestones (Day 30 / 90 / 180 / 360).
In addition to delivery execution, the IT Senior Project Manager drives continuous improvement of M&A and transition delivery practices, standards, documentation, and governance, strengthening repeatability, transparency, and outcomes for future transactions and operational changes.
Major Responsibilities
Program & Project Leadership
Lead end‑to‑end delivery of complex, cross‑functional IT programs supporting mergers, acquisitions, divestitures, and major Move–Add–Change (MAC) initiatives.
Define and manage project scope, requirements, schedules, budgets, resources, risks, and dependencies across multiple concurrent initiatives.
Apply disciplined change‑control, verification, and governance practices to manage scope, schedule, and cost impacts while maintaining delivery commitments.
Coordinate IT, business, and external partners to ensure initiatives align with enterprise strategy and transaction timelines.
Governance, Communication & Executive Interlock
Establish and maintain a governance rhythm that includes regular IT and business progress reviews, executive updates, and escalation of risks and decision points.
Communicate project status, dependencies, and readiness during PI Planning and other enterprise forums to ensure alignment between delivery teams and business stakeholders.
Enable informed decision‑making by providing clear visibility into progress, risks, trade‑offs, and recommended actions.
Financial, Resource & Vendor Management
Provide financial stewardship for M&A and MAC initiatives by coordinating cost estimates, vendor quotes, funding approvals, and budget tracking.
Partner with Procurement and vendors to ensure purchase orders, delivery timelines, and services align with integration milestones.
Manage resource planning by confirming SME availability with functional leaders, monitoring allocations, and driving delivery within approved scope, budget, and schedule.
Move–Add–Change / Facility Transition Support (as applicable)
Coordinate IT planning for facility transitions by ensuring completion of new facility questionnaires, acquisition of facility diagrams (DWG/CAD/layout), and definition of IT requirements.
Support budget planning and execution for MAC initiatives by coordinating estimates, monitoring spend, and aligning delivery to business readiness timelines.
Leadership & Continuous Improvement
Lead, coach, and influence cross‑functional teams to drive accountability, collaboration, and predictable delivery outcomes.
Identify and contribute to continuous improvement of M&A and MAC delivery practices, standards, documentation, and governance to improve repeatability and execution effectiveness.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in Information Systems or related field, or equivalent work experience.
Experience collaborating with business stakeholders, product owners, and external consultants to recommend solutions
Prior experience working with IT technical solution implementations.
Experience with gathering requirements and enforcing best practices.
Prior Experience coordinating and leading technical teams
Ability to map business process flows and journey maps
Ability to analyze and organize data to resolve problems and identify risks and/or improvements
Prior experience working on M&A integrations and/or standing up production facilities
Knowledge / Skills / Abilities
Strong written and verbal communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group.
Ability to successfully engage in multiple tasks simultaneously
Excellent problem-solving skills and techniques
Ability to act as a liaison between capability team and business stakeholders
Ability to identify opportunities and propose solutions
Ability to understand the perspective of the business and end users and apply that understanding to solution proposals
Ability to utilize IT Best Practices and IT tools related to implementation, and documentation
Preferred Qualifications
PMP or similar certifications
Experience in writing stories in an agile tool such as Jira or DevOps
Experience with defining project timelines
Experience with resource time and availability
Knowledge of IT Best Practices
Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously
