Summary: As a Firmware Engineer, you will have the opportunity to support the global innovation and product development teams by implementing features in the gateway or receiver firmware of tire electronic solutions (sensor, receiver, IoT gateway, automotive ECU) for passenger, commercial applications. Be part of a global technology development team. Understand business requirements and deliver technology that meets performance, cost and quality standards. The team is responsible for developing the hardware System for aftermarket and original mounted solutions in the framework of Client Solutions. Support development of Client's strategy in global innovation and information systems. Roles & Responsibilities: - Design, develop and/or integrate from third parties standard components for automotive receivers or IoT gateways, telematic devices and IoT sensors. - Work on low level firmware features to manage data from remote sensors over the air. - Integrate components to establish the cell and cloud communication to be able to upload data. - Work closely with the hardware and software developers to innovate, develop and support complete product and service solutions. All phases of engineering from System Design to Customer Support. Professional & Technical Skills: - Proficiency in software programing language: C/C++, Python. - Familiarity in electronics hardware design and development. - Familiarity with BLE, WiFi and RF communication protocol. - Familiarity with CAN/J1939, OBD-II and UDS. - Familiarity with machine to machine protocols like MQTT HTTP. - Familiarity with distributed systems in an IoT context. - Basic organization, communication & experimentation discipline. Practical understanding of science &technology in the appropriate discipline. - IoT and automotive electronics experience preferred. - Programming micro-controllers to implement product functions. - Microcontroller debugging. - Microcontroller resource consumption evaluation. Additional Information: - The candidate should have minimum 5 years of experience in Automotive ECU Software. - This position is based at our Hyderabad office. - A 15 years full time education is required. - Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field. Preferred Master’s Degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering.
