Position Summary

The Director of Talent Acquisition provides strategic and operational leadership for enterprise-wide talent acquisition at MultiCare Health System. This role is responsible for designing, implementing, and optimizing recruitment strategies to attract top-tier talent across clinical, administrative, and healthcare function areas.
This leader oversees a team of recruitment professionals and partners closely with HR and business leaders to support the organization’s growth, operational goals. The role requires a blend of strategic thinking, innovation, analytics, and hands-on leadership within a complex, multi-site healthcare environment.

Responsibilities


•    Develops and drives talent acquisition strategies aligned with organizational goals and future workforce needs.
•    Leads, mentors, and manages the recruitment team, fostering a culture of performance, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
•    Oversees full-cycle recruiting processes across all departments and facilities, ensuring a high-quality experience for candidates and hiring managers.
•    Implements innovative sourcing, recruitment marketing, and employer branding initiatives to enhance visibility and attract qualified talent.
•    Partners with HR leadership, operational executives, and hiring managers to align recruitment solutions with staffing demands.
•    Monitors and reports key metrics to assess effectiveness, identify trends, and support data-informed decision-making.
•    Ensures compliance with employment laws, industry regulations, and internal policies.
•    Manages relationships with external vendors, recruitment platforms, and technology systems including applicant tracking and candidate relationship management tools.
•    Leads strategic talent pipeline efforts, including university partnerships, internship programs, and succession planning.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, or equivalent work experience
  • Minimum of 8 years of progressive experience in talent acquisition, including 5 years in a leadership role.
  • Experience in healthcare or large, complex systems strongly preferred.
  • Proven track record in developing and executing recruitment strategies in alignment with business goals.
  • Strong knowledge of sourcing techniques, talent market trends, compliance requirements, and recruitment technologies.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively across departments and lead change in a dynamic environment.

Pay and Benefit Expectations

We provide a comprehensive benefits package, including competitive salary, medical, dental and retirement benefits and paid time off. As required by various pay transparency laws, we share a competitive range of compensation for candidates hired into each position. The pay scale is $150,925.00 - $217,194.00 USD. However, pay is influenced by factors specific to applicants, including but not limited to: skill set, level of experience, and certification(s) and/or education. If this position is associated with a union contract, pay will be reflective of the appropriate step on the pay scale to which the applicant’s years of experience align.
