SUMMARY OF JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

This position will successfully guide and lead the Business Line’s profitability and growth in concert with the objectives set forth by the Akron Brass Site Lead & the Fire & Safety Leadership team, and to provide day-to-day leadership of the assigned Business Line.

  • Have cross-functional ownership of commercial and technical resources.
  • Have P&L responsibility for a business line of >$25M
  • Lead new and existing customer and product growth, and investment in electronics market segments.

REPORTS TO (Title): Site Lead, Akron Brass         

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Manage business line revenue and margin
  • Develop commercial tactics and strategies to drive customer growth of NA F&S Electronics products in the Business Line
  • Formulate, execute, and maintain business line strategies, product plans and roadmaps based on market insight
  • Oversight of team, priorities, resource allocation, and associated budget
  • Responsibility for product line definition and life cycle management
  • Oversee Business Line sales forecasts and tactical plans required to achieve or surpass forecasted results
  • Guide NPD prioritization and investment in alignment with strategic plan and market conditions
  • Ensure timely delivery of strategic and customer-based NPD projects
  • Drive a high level of customer satisfaction

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND REQUIRED ABILITIES:

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • BS in Science / Engineering or Business Management (MBA preferred), or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum of 10 years experience in Sales/Marketing and/or Product Development roles. Preferably in an OEM sales environment.
  • The successful candidate must have a proven track record, demonstrated by a progressive level of growth in responsibility and successful demonstration of leadership/business competencies.
  • Excellent business and commercial acumen.
  • The successful candidate should be a true change agent, driven by the principles of continuous improvement.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

  • Up to 50% travel
  • Perform general office functions.
  • Visual acuity needed for close detail work and computer use.
  • General manufacturing, warehouse and office environment.
