Join the University of Queensland Press (UQP) as a Marketing Senior Officer (Digital Lead & Publicist) and play a key role in elevating UQP’s digital presence and public profile. As part of a collaborative and creative publishing environment, you will lead innovative campaigns and connect audiences with culturally significant works. Key responsibilities will include:
Leading UQP’s digital content strategy across website, social media, SEO and e-newsletters.
Planning and delivering creative digital and publicity campaigns to promote UQP titles and the broader brand.
Building strong relationships with authors, media and industry stakeholders, and coordinating events, launches and promotional activities.
Providing digital training and support to authors and staff, and managing digital and event budgets effectively.
A degree with subsequent relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of experience, education and training in digital marketing, publishing, publicity or events management.
Demonstrated experience planning and delivering multi-platform digital content strategies.
Sophisticated knowledge of digital and social media platforms, trends and best practice.
Proven ability to build and maintain relationships with authors and external partners, including designers, developers and industry stakeholders.
Significant experience delivering publicity campaigns and coordinating events.
Strong technical skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office, content management systems, and platforms such as MailChimp, InDesign and Photoshop.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to craft compelling narratives and campaigns.
Strong organisational skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities, work independently and meet deadlines.
