Key responsibilities

  • Prepare monthly/quarterly/annual financial reports for head office.  Conduct variance analysis.
  • Responsible for the month-end and year-end closing process to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting.
  • Monitor daily ledger reconciliations and follow up on any identified irregularities or variances with business units for timely resolution.
  • Calculate profit tax in compliance with Hong Kong tax regulations.  Ensure timely and accurate filing of profit tax returns.
  • Stay up-to-date with changes to accounting standards and tax regulations.  Analyze potential impacts and develop appropriate action plans for compliance.
  • Support internal and external audits.
  • Ensure all accounting operations adhere to internal financial policies, procedures and controls.

Job requirements 

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field
  • 5+ years of related experience in a financial institution
  • Knowledge of accounting standards (e.g. IFRS) and tax regulations
  • Experience with month-end/ year-end closing processes
  • Strong analytical skills for report preparation and variance analysis
  • Ability to work independently
  • Attention to detail and adherence to strict rules, standards and deadline
  • Proficiency in MS Office
  • Self-motivated
