We are looking for a Fabric Planner to manage fabric planning, sourcing coordination, and supply chain efficiency within the GSM (Global Supply Management) function. You will have deep fabric knowledge, technical expertise, and hands-on experience working with reputed textile mills, along with the ability to use data analytics to guide planning decisions.
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
Fabric Planning
*Develop fabric planning strategies aligned with seasonal and production requirements
*Ensure fabric availability to support product delivery
Supplier & Mill Collaboration
*Partner with sourcing teams, mills, and suppliers to manage capacity, lead times, and delivery performance
*Build relationships with strategic mill partners
Inventory & Utilisation Management
*Monitor fabric inventory levels, usage patterns, and replenishment cycles
Improve fabric allocation across styles, seasons, and production lines
Supply Chain Optimization
*Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, reduce waste, and optimize cost
Manage risks related to fabric delays, shortages, or quality issues
Data & Analytics
*Develop dashboards and reports to track main performance metrics (e.g., OTIF, inventory turns, lead times)
*Use data analytics to forecast fabric demand and support planning decisions
Collaboration
*Work with merchandising, production, logistics, and product development teams
*Promote agreement across partners to ensure seamless execution
EXPERIENCE
*Bachelor's degree in Textile Engineering, Fashion Technology, Supply Chain Management, or related field
*8–12 years of experience in fabric planning, sourcing, or supply chain roles
*Technical knowledge of fabrics, including construction, GSM, finishes, and testing standards
*Have worked with reputed textile mills and suppliers
*Have worked on the end-to-end fabric supply chain ecosystem
*Advanced proficiency in data analysis tools such as Power BI or Tableau
*Demonstrated analytical thinking
*Have worked with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, PLM)
*Knowledge of sustainable fabric sourcing and textile practices
*Familiarity with global sourcing markets and compliance standards
