McKesson's Reporting & Analytics team is looking to hire a Sr Manager, Data & Technical Operations! The Sr. Manager, Data & Technical Operations will be responsible for maintaining our reporting and analytics technical operations. This requires ensuring the timely delivery of reports and dashboards while helping to stabilize and mature our data environment to support future growth. As a people leader, they are responsible of coaching a team of direct reports and serve as a technical resource for our virtual team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Responsible for coaching and developing direct reports.

  • Has a strong understanding of data lineage, actively identifies risks and remediates them

  • Proactively makes recommendations to advance our analytics capabilities and enhance our technical environment.

  • Aligns business units, technical development, and supports BI team functions

  • Support the greater organization by leading various technical projects/migrations such as infrastructure upgrades, server upgrades, streamlining existing technology implementations, and partnering with internal business clients to provide technology driven solutions

  • Develops, monitors, and owns technical tasks and adjusts resources and priorities accordingly

  • Works closely with IT teams and Business units to achieve required project goals

  • Collaborates with Business Intelligence Program Specialists to determine level of effort required for new projects

  • Ensures adequate documentation of processes and work products

  • Experience working with complex data sourcing across different technologies

Minimum Requirements

The ideal candidate will have a degree or equivalent experience, and at least 9+ years of relevant experience, including 1+ years of people-management experience

Critical Skills

  • Excellent technical, diagnostic, and troubleshooting skills

  • Experience leading and growing local and virtual teams

  • Experience with Azure SQL Server Management and SQL Agent

  • Experience with Power BI, SAS, SQL, Python

  • Technical Project Management experience

  • Intermediate-to-Advanced object-oriented programming or scripting (Python, Java C)

  • Proficiency with using Python and/or R for data science and automation

  • Advanced SQL Skills; Familiarity with SQL Server AlwaysOn and other database architectures (Oracle, Snowflake, Postgres)

  • Familiarity with application architecture

  • Familiarity with cloud technology (Azure, GCP, AWS)

  • Strong attention to details

  • Strong collaboration skills and ability to work with a variety of stakeholders​

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

Our Base Pay Range for this position

$115,000 - $191,600
