What you will do

The purpose of this position is to troubleshoot and be a service expert working on alarm panels, CCTV systems, and Card access systems; all the while maintaining positive relations with the customer.

How you will do it

  • Locate and alleviate trouble with damaged equipment or wiring
  • Service, install, troubleshoot, repair and perform maintenance and inspections on Tyco Integrated Fire & Security products
  • Capable of Working on customers' networks in conjunction with their IT personnel.
  • Testing and commissioning of systems.
  • Service, Installation, and programming of Access Control, CCTV, and Intrusion systems.
  • Training of the end-user on TIFS systems.
  • Such other duties as may be assigned by the Supervisor/Manager

What we look for

Education:

  • High school diploma
  • Electronic Technician Certificate
  • Computer Networking Courses and proficiency.
  • Commitment to upgrading and continuing their education

Experience:

  • Minimum of 3 years of security installation and/or service experience or equivalent.
  • ULC familiarity would be a definite asset

Skills:

  • Must be computer literate, have networking ability, and a good knowledge of Computer operating systems
  • Mechanical aptitude and be able to use hand and power tools
  • Fluent English language written and verbal skills, demonstrated superior people and telephone skills, excellent organizational skills and the ability to work well under pressure are essential
  • The ability to meet deadlines and commitments and to adjust/adapt to new ideas and procedures is necessary

Other:

  • Valid driver’s license.
  • Must be bondable – criminal record check required.
  • Company vehicle provided for company use only (includes gas/maintenance).  Driver’s abstract will be required.
  • Flexibility with hours expected to work is required.
