Seeking a passionate Midwife to join our team at the Mater Hospital.

ABOUT YOUR ROLE:

  • Provide comprehensive midwifery care during antenatal, intrapartum, and postnatal periods.
  • Support and educate new mothers with breastfeeding, newborn care, and postnatal recovery.
  • Collaborate with obstetricians, paediatricians, and other healthcare professionals to deliver multidisciplinary care.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed patient records in accordance with hospital policies and best practices.

ABOUT YOU:
 

The registered midwife will assess, plan, implement and evaluate midwifery care in collaboration with key stakeholders.

  • A minimum of 2 years’ experience in a birth suite and or post-natal setting
  • AHPRA registered
  • Excellent clinical skills and strong understanding of midwifery practice
  • Empathetic delivery of quality care
  • Cultural awareness
  • Effective communication
  • Working collaboratively with the Maternity team
  • Commitment to ongoing professional development
