Production Operations Supervisor

Job Description

The Production Operations Supervisor- team leader, acts as a key link between
production operations and management, ensuring alignment between shop floor execution and organizational objectives. The role is responsible for overseeing a team of skilled workers while coordinating production activities, implementing process improvements, and managing short- to mid-term production planning to ensure safe, compliant, and high-quality delivery of products and services. The team leader monitors standard work to proactively
identify operational issues, capacity constraints, and improvement opportunities, and communicates these effectively to relevant stakeholders. With a coaching and empathic leadership approach, the role provides clear direction, sets priorities, and delegates tasks where appropriate, enabling team members to perform at their best. In addition, for driving efficiency, quality, and workflow optimization, the role fosters a culture of trust, engagement, and continuous development. Team leaders require strongly developed soft skills that are
essential to encourage open communication, collaboration, and employee growth, supporting a sustainable performance and people-oriented work environment.

Job Responsibilities:
Operational Leadership & Safety-
Create, maintain, and continuously improve a safe, clean, and psychologically secure working environment, ensuring compliance with health, safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements.
Proactively identify, assess, and manage operational and occupational risks, ensuring appropriate escalation and corrective actions where required.
Acts as a role model for safety-first behavior and ownership on the shop floor.
Production Planning & Execution-
Execute and monitor standard work, ensuring adherence through regular checks and follow-up.
Take ownership of short- to mid-term production and workforce planning in line with the agreed production schedule.
Ensure production KPIs related to safety, quality, delivery, productivity, and cost are achieved, taking timely and autonomous decisions within the defined scope.
Proactively identify capacity constraints and coordinate internal and external resources to ensure continuity of operations

People Leadership & Communication-
Lead, coach, and develop a team of approximately 10-30 FTE
fostering engagement, accountability, and continuous development.
Own the end-to-end people management cycle, including performance management, talent development, absenteeism prevention, and reintegration.
Identify training and development needs aligned with organizational priorities and ensure completion of mandatory and role-specific training.
Communicate clearly and effectively with the team and across the value chain,
ensuring timely alignment and escalation according to standard processes.

Minimum Required Qualifications:
Education-
Vocational Education (MBO level 4) or Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Electronic Engineering or equivalent.
Work Experience/Environment-
Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in areas such as production plant, or
manufacturing site or equivalent.
Team leader is a 5 days on-site job
You are part of the IGT operations team with multiple peer team leaders reporting to the production leader
Certifications-
Preferable Lean Leadership training or equivalent experience in Lean and Continuous Improvement methodologies.

We believe that we are better together than apart. For our office-based teams, this means working in-person at least 3 days per week.
Onsite roles require full-time presence in the company’s facilities.
Field roles are most effectively done outside of the company’s main facilities, generally at the customers’ or suppliers’ locations.
