Shift Available: (36 hours/week) 7a-7p or 7p-7a
As a Registered Nurse in the Adult Medicine Specialty Unit at OU Medical Center, you will care for patients with complex and varied multifaceted disease processes. Our unit is also home to the Intermediate Care Unit, giving you the ability to employ a wide variety of nursing skills in collaboration with professionals from pulmonary, medical, surgical and glycemic care teams.
One (1) year of RN experience is preferred for this position. If you have less than one (1) year of RN experience, please search for positions titled “RN Resident” to start the application process.

Under general supervision, provides nursing care in a hospital to a variety of patients with health problems ranging from simple to complex.

Education: Graduation from an approved school of nursing.
Experience: N/A
Licensure/Certifications/Registrations Required: Possession of a valid temporary license or permanent license issued by the Oklahoma State Board of Nursing as a Registered Nurse prior to entrance on duty. Permanent license must be obtained within 3 months of appointment. BLS certification required upon hire. Additional certification(s) may be required based on department, see attachment for details.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Knowledge of professional nursing theory, practices, techniques and procedures. Ability to organize, plan, coordinate and evaluate nursing services and apply nursing techniques. Ability to maintain good working relationships with other employees. Good verbal and written communication skills. Ability to respond effectively to cultural and language needs of patients and visitors. Some computer skills.
