Job Summary

This role will be a key factor in assisting the group sales business as well as manage a part time staff to help with game night duties. The ideal candidate has knowledge of the group sales process and can execute on sales initiatives. We are looking for a motivated and organized person and is a positive people leader to oversee a large game day staff and ensures their individual success.

Job Description

Core Responsibilities

  • Track and manage daily and weekly reporting 
  • Manage centralized booking for all game day ticketing activations for sales, services, corporate partnerships, charities, community relations, events team, and game presentation. 
  • Procure vendor options for special ticket packages. Manage design process, ordering timelines, PO’s and invoices from vendors and our finance team. 
  • Oversee Wells Fargo Center Tour Program
  • Make future secondary market recommendations to upper management in regards to inventory and partners.
  • Research and network with other professional sports organizations.
  • Work with box office to find efficiencies in ticketing system that will provide a better customer experience to patrons.
  • Plan, promote and execute a year-round recruiting approach.
  • Establish, maintain and grow year-round relationships with local universities and top ranked national sport management programs as it relates to all recruiting and branding initiatives. Targets include but not limited to career services, department heads and professors, co-op programs, alumni networks, campus leaders and clubs.
  • Hire, onboard, train, and schedule team of 16- 20 part time employees to assist in game day activations for the Philadelphia Flyers, Wings, Sixers, Wells Fargo Center Events, Member Events, and Dark Day Events
  • Formalize best practices in regards to departmental hiring, onboarding and training of new hires.
  • Create and maintain departments on-boarding and training materials.
  • Consistent exercise of independent judgment and discretion in matters of significance.
  • Regular, consistent and punctual attendance. Must be able to work nights and weekends, variable schedule(s) and overtime as necessary.
  • Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
