Project Role : Cloud Migration Engineer
Project Role Description : Provides assessment of existing solutions and infrastructure to migrate to the cloud. Plan, deliver, and implement application and data migration with scalable, high-performance solutions using private and public cloud technologies driving next-generation business outcomes.

Summary:
As a Cloud Migration Engineer, you will engage in a dynamic environment where you assess existing solutions and infrastructure to facilitate their migration to the cloud. Your typical day will involve planning, delivering, and implementing application and data migration strategies that leverage both private and public cloud technologies. You will work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to ensure that the migration processes are efficient, scalable, and aligned with the organization's business objectives. Your role will also require you to stay updated on the latest cloud technologies and best practices to drive next-generation business outcomes effectively.

Responsibilities:

Perform Oracle Database migration of on-premises to cloud environments (Azure, AWS, Google Cloud).
Good Knowledge of Oracle Cloud technologies and resources (IaaS, IAM policies, Networking, VPN setup)
Execute database migration projects from Oracle to DB2, Oracle to Postgres, and MS-SQL to PostgreSQL.
Perform schema conversion, data migration, and validate migrated data.
Analyze existing database schemas, data structures, and dependencies to develop comprehensive migration strategies.
Conduct thorough testing and validation of migrated data to ensure accuracy, consistency, and minimal downtime during migration.
Administer Oracle Exadata environments, including installation, configuration, and performance tuning.
Familiarity with Oracle Autonomous Database instances, leveraging autonomous features for automated operations and maintenance.
Familiarity with Oracle Exadata, Oracle Autonomous Database, Oracle 23ai (Vector Database), and Engineered Systems such as ExaCC & ExaCS.
Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for migration processes, database configurations, and best practices.
Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including developers, data engineers, infrastructure architects, and business stake holders.


Requirements:

Bachelor s degree in computer science, Engineering, or related field.
Proven experience in migrating Oracle databases to cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, Google Cloud).
Hands-on experience with cloud services such as Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud.
Familiarity with open-source databases such as PostgreSQL, MySQL.
Understanding of heterogeneous database migration challenges and solutions.
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Certifications in Oracle Database and cloud platforms are a plus.

- Good To Have Skills: Experience with Oracle Database Cloud Services, Oracle Database Architecture.


Additional Information:
- The candidate should have minimum 3 years of experience in Oracle Database Administration (DBA).
- This position is based at our Bengaluru office.
