Summary and Responsibilities:

The Field Access Director (FAD) is the primary point of contact within BMS responsible for guiding and implementing contracting strategy across the Specialty GPO (SGPO) channel, including Hem/Onc aggregators (i.e., FCS, One Oncology) and Community Oncology practices. The FAD will have extensive knowledge and experience in the SGPO channel to shape in-line, launch, acquisition and LOE contracting strategies, across the BMS portfolio. The person will actively work with the Global Heads, Senior VPs and executive level leaders in Hematology, Oncology, Cell Therapy and Global MAx organizations to incorporate customer insights into innovative and financially viable portfolio contracts. As the BMS portfolio expands (i.e., radiopharmaceutical therapeutics), this position will assess emerging opportunities and strategies in the specialty channel, complementary to our current customer priorities.

The FAD has a deep knowledge and understanding of the clinical, economic, health economic research and business model dynamics that drive customer decision-making and impact product access across the product life cycles. The FAD leads cross-functional teams, including Access Strategy, Pricing and Contracting, BI&A, Trade & Distribution and Legal, to ensure that deep customer insights and market intelligence are represented in the development of value-creating and innovative SGPO contracting strategies and activities.

The FAD is responsible for understanding and anticipating community oncology goals and needs across the various business models. The FAD is also responsible for creating a SGPO and Community Oncology strategic plan that optimizes patient access, identifies challenges and opportunities with recommended solutions. The FAD will continuously measure and assess the channel contract strategy and alignment with overall US MAx and commercial strategies and partner with BI&A to produce companion data/reporting capabilities.

This position will support the SGPO Executive Director and Directors by engaging senior level customers in the SGPO and Community Oncology channel, including E, C and D-suite executives, service line leaders and decision makers, to understand their impact on clinical practice and access decision making. These insights will ensure the customer perspective is strongly represented and informs BMS customer strategy and direction.
