We are currently seeking a Junior Business Analyst with excellent communication skills and knowledge of life insurance products or tax processes to join our team. Reporting to the Director of Taxation Operations, you will analyze business processes, identify areas for improvement, and implement solutions to drive efficiency and effectiveness. You will collaborate closely with stakeholders to understand their needs and translate them into actionable requirements.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Analyze data sets to identify patterns, trends, and actionable insights for informed business decisions.

  • Develop and maintain data reporting tools, dashboards, and visualizations to provide accurate and timely insights to stakeholders.

  • Identify areas for process improvement and develop strategies to enhance efficiency.

  • Conduct root cause analysis to identify and address underlying issues.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement improvement initiatives.

  • Monitor and track the progress of improvement projects.

  • Develop and maintain documentation for process improvements.

  • Ensure that improvement initiatives align with organizational goals.

  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement within the organization.

  • Perform internal testing, quality assurance, and other auditing functions to ensure the integrity of department processing and workflow.

  • Manage the document and procedure library, ensuring that procedures and job aids are accurate and up to date.

  • Assist in project planning, scheduling, and tracking to ensure timely delivery of solutions.

Required Qualifications:

  • Taxation knowledge

  • Previous experience in business analysis, data analysis, or a related role is preferred.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

  • Proficiency in business analysis tools and techniques.

  • Familiarity with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI) is a plus.

  • Knowledge of life insurance products or tax processes is a plus.

  • Technical Proficiency: Familiarity with SQL, Excel, and other data analysis tools.

Salary range is expected to be between

$51,975.00 CAD - $86,625.00 CAD
