About the Role

This position is responsible for timely completion of accounting and reporting for investment accounting and group reporting for non IFRS reporting basis

Main Responsibilities:

  • Plan and coordinate the monthly closing timeline with finance and actuarial to ensure the closing is completed within AIA Group’s closing instruction.
  • Manage the month end closing and reporting for investment accounting including monitoring outsourcing activities of investment accounting.
  • Manage the quarter end closing and reporting for non IFRS reporting basis including Adjusted Net Worth, Local Capital Summation Method, Economic Capital and others.
  • Review and ensure group reporting results are aligned with AIA Group Accounting Policies and submit timely and accurately. 
  • Analyse and monitor the monthly investment return from financial assets against budget and prior year.
  • Ensure no material unreconciled balance in the balance sheet reconciliation.

Min Job Requirements

  • A recognized Degree in Accounting or Professional Accountancy Qualification, with at least 5 years of relevant working experience.
  • Ability to work independently and possess good problem solving skills
  • Proficiency in MS Office Excel, knowledge of SAP accounting system will be an advantage
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
