Role Definition
As an Associate Engineer for Detailing COE team HEX, WHEX, OEM products, you will have the opportunity to learn from and contribute towards modelling and detailing projects and ensure superior performance, durability, reliability, quality, and serviceability to meet global requirements. In this engineering position, you will build your technical expertise while learning product development through practical application and staying abreast of innovative technology. You will also build your professional network, engage with peers and receive guidance from mentors in the field..

Responsibilities
• Creating new designs, models, drawings and resolves issues regarding the manufacturing or building sequences. Ensuring design acceptance and manufacturing readiness.
• Participating in the adoption of new technologies, processes, services & systems to achieve greater efficiency, cost reduction and quality improvement.

• Support on BIQ/AQE/Build Issues and associate EIC design projects.

• Planning and improving engineering procedures and operations to make the product or process more reliable, efficient, and cost-effective.
• Collaborating with all Internal and external engineering partners to provide a design solution that meets the requirements of the customer and dealer network.

• Collaborating with cross functional teams to determine the root cause of problems and create alternative solutions that resolve these problems.

• Ability to effectively transmit, receive, and accurately interpret ideas, information, and needs through the application of appropriate communication behaviours.


Degree Requirement
Degree required in an Mechanical Engineering, Materials Science curriculum

Minimum 4-6 Years of relevant experience in EIC systems, Creo & Team Centre.

Good Understanding of Engineering Print Reading, GD&T and welding.

Prior Experience on Caterpillar Systems like HVC, EDS, Teamcenter, Vis-Mock-up, SDP Fluid lines are preferred.

Engineering - MFG: Knowledge of processes, techniques and methods of engineering in a manufacturing environment; ability to design and implement materials, structures, machines, devices, systems and processes that safely realize a desired objective or invention.
Level Basic Understanding:
• Describes where and how to obtain additional engineering information and expertise.
• Explains engineering concepts and features in a manufacturing environment.
• Cites manufacturing industry or organizational examples of usage or application of engineering.
• Identifies major initiatives, key issues and benefits of engineering in manufacturing.
