Integrated Planning Specialist

for its global Pharma Division Headquarter based in Allschwil- Basel.

Primary Job Function

The Integrated Planning Specialist is responsible to design, optimize, test, and implement improvements Processes for Integrated Planning. This task refers to translation of business requirements to system solutions within SAP's Advanced Planning and Optimization (APO) system as well as the SAP's ERP module PP and support of SCM Staging process.

  • This role will combine APO production support activities for existing business towards planning stakeholders (Manufacturing sites, Supply Chain and Affiliates), ensure compliance to global procedures, as well as design and implementation of additional functionality (business process improvements and harmonization).

Job Responsibilities

  • The position requires initiative taking and creative thinking to introduce unfamiliar, original ideas that do not arise from existing processes. The information is highly complex.

  • With a strong knowledge of fundamental business processes, help to design and deploy appropriate best practice-based solutions while demonstrating the ability to anticipate future business requirements.

  • Participate in projects related to organizational changes and changes to the information systems. Provide expertise to the elaboration of clear and complete functional specifications for the development team to ensure an effective APO design and to define ongoing new business developments.

  • Analyze and provide effective problem solving of Business and User support, assessing whether standard functionality can be used and identifying reasonable custom solutions where needed.

The core responsibilities/main tasks

  • Ensure that all demand flows from Market to Supplier using the right supply chain flow and lead times according to the business requirements, including coordination and implementation of new flows.

  • Maintain the master data and authorizations relevant for planning processes ensure consistency and control quality.

  • Maintain manuals for the users. Organize trainings and coach users in the use of the application and also supervise compliance with the procedures.

After successfully managing the daily business for 1 to 2 years and gaining enough experience in our processes, you will have the opportunity to lead projects.

Minimum Education

  • Bachelors or university degree in Business, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, or related field.

Minimum Experience/Training Required

  • Strong understanding of Demand and Supply Planning, Logistics execution to establish credibility and trust with all levels of the organization.

  • Good understanding of the business processes and organization.

  • 3 to 5 years of APO experience, including DP, SNP, BW and CIF.

  • Experience in an ERP software and SAP in particular is a must (WM, IM, SD, MM modules).

  • Proficient with major Microsoft Suite programs (MS Excel advanced skills mandatory).

  • Very good command of English in oral and written, additional languages are an advantage.

  • DRP specific training and permanent development of technical knowledge.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to relate well and cooperate with others to effectively coordinate activities and accomplish goals.

  • Ability to work in large/complex company environment preferred.Position requires traveling and ability to communicate to users from different cultures.
