This position is responsible for analysis and regulatory reporting within the Capital Controllers Group, specifically focused on Wholesale and Securitization RWA calculation relative to Basel Rule. The candidate will work closely with key partners across Capital Controllers Group.  

 

The candidate will have a robust understanding of Wholesale or Securitization exposures and a solid track record of performing detailed financial analysis, root cause analysis, impact assessments, financial reporting, management reporting, and developing key performance indicators to measure success.

 

Key responsibilities:

 

  • Support the analysis and submission of regulatory reports for Basel RWA Reporting based on US Regulatory requirements
  • Drive activities related to production close for the US regulatory reporting supporting multiple entities
  • Represent Capital Controllers Group in communications and discussions with internal and external auditors, Independent Risk Review and Regulators where Wholesale and Securitization data and processes are discussed
  • Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency, as well as effectively supervise the activity of others and create accountability with those who fail to maintain these standards
  • Lead a team to develop analytics packages and process leveraging Data Science skills (R, Python) using large complex datasets
  • Provide inputs for UAT testing and results validations for the RWA Reporting Change manage process
  • Develop and effectively leverage project plans and metrics to coordinate, execute and track key activities and deliverables and monitor and continuously improve processes and systems
  • Work closely with key partners to ensure alignment with strategic goals, robust status and expectation management including collaboration to remove roadblocks and optimize opportunities
  • Implement and align effective processes and controls to support a sustainable audit ready production process around RWA Reporting. Evaluate risk and controls needed to manage tactical solutions required to deliver timely and accurate RWA Reporting for key partners
  • Deliver effective status communication to Senior Management

 

Qualifications – External

 

The ideal candidate will have 5+ year’s work experience in finance, accounting and / or risk. Experience analyzing large datasets. Solid team building and Leadership track record.

 

  • Bachelor's degree in finance, Accounting or similar discipline
  • Must have US work authorization, this position is not sponsoring visas
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel Skills required.
  • Excellent analytical background and skill set to understand Regulatory Reporting (Basel / Risk Weighted Assets strongly preferred) processes, including system data flows.
  • Able to work with large volumes of data from different sources. Experience using coding skills, analytical tools, SQL, R, SAS or Python preferred
  • Must possess knowledge of Finance and US Regulatory workflows and reporting application systems and experience in the utilization of database technology.
  • Self-motivated with ability to make decisions and maintain a controlled environment.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours or on an Alternative Work Space (AWS) environment.
  • Ability to multi-task, be proactive and goal-oriented.
  • Ability to build strong relationships with stakeholder and execute on stakeholder management
  • Excellent issue management and negotiation skills
  • Strong interpersonal/communication skills (oral and written) and confidence to work with different levels of management

Primary Location Full Time Salary Range:

$103,920.00 - $155,880.00
