As a Software Engineer Co-op on the TRSS team, you will be working on projects that support and extend the full stack of the TRSS solutions suite. This role requires a full stack engineer who is comfortable with data-intensive systems and frontend UI development. There will be opportunity to learn about new technologies and engage in new development.

About the Role
As a Software Engineer Co-op, you will contribute to a variety of areas including:

  • Learn new technologies and frameworks
  • Participate in the review of specifications and estimating process
  • Write well-designed, well-constructed, and well-tested code
  • Support programming changes during quality assurance and product rollout
  • Willingness to learn about software development best practices


About You
You’re a good fit for the role of Software Engineer Co-op if you:

  • Communicate effectively (verbal and written) to different audiences
  • Problem-solving and critical thinking skills
  • Continuously learning new skills and technologies
  • Good team player
  • Understanding of computer science principles and algorithms
  • Experience coding in Java or Python
  • Preferred experience with the following: Javascript, Angular, React, SQL, Mongo, Elasticsearch, Kafka, Docker
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government security clearance

Thomson Reuters complies with local laws that require upfront disclosure of the expected pay range for a position. The location(s) for this role include one or more of the following states: KS, MI, MN, NY, VA. The target total cash compensation range for the role in any of those locations is $25 - $30. Base pay is positioned within the range based on several factors including an individual’s knowledge, skills and experience with consideration given to internal equity. Base pay is one part of a comprehensive Total Reward program which also includes flexible and supportive benefits and other wellbeing programs.
