Hartford Funds’ Operations has the responsibility for transfer agency oversight, service operations as well as serving as the operational liaison for our key distribution partners. 

This role will support the team’s efforts to provide transfer agency and service operations for Hartford Funds and Hartford 529 Plans and support our main points of contact with our service providers and firms.  This is individual will work closely with various internal departments including compliance, legal, product, finance, fund treasury, marketing, and sales, collaborating to execute on various deliverables, both internal and external.  This position will also support project management for these related initiatives. 

Responsibilities:

  • Support the team in implementing initiatives such as new fund launches, name changes, mergers or liquidations; dealer or firm-initiated requests such as firm processing changes or fund adds
  • Prepare and coordinate regulatory and non-regulatory shareholder mailings and notifications to financial intermediaries in conjunction with fund changes or corporate actions
  • Assist in management of the Dealer Support mailbox, communicating with back offices, internal stakeholders, and our transfer agents
  • Perform dealer agreement registration and maintenance. All dealer agreements are reviewed and administered through the team and require the ability to understand various agreements, terms, and fee arrangements
  • Prepare monthly or ad hoc reporting by request
  • Submit Invoice for payment for shareholder mailings

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business or equivalent experience
  • Financial services experience highly desired
  • Preferable candidates will have mutual fund/529 business and operations experience, ETF or tender fund experience a plus
  • Mutual Fund product/industry knowledge a plus
  • Ability to work in a deadline oriented and fast paced environment with strong organizational and time management skills
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Proactive attitude; commitment to continuous learning; willing to challenge the status quo to improve processes
  • Proven ability to work within a team or independently; thinks critically by gathering and investigating relevant information
  • Communicates effectively both verbally and in writing; listens effectively and clarifies information

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite products required; experience with Microsoft Copilot a plus

Compensation

The listed annualized base pay range is primarily based on analysis of similar positions in the external market. Actual base pay could vary and may be above or below the listed range based on factors including but not limited to performance, proficiency and demonstration of competencies required for the role. The base pay is just one component of The Hartford’s total compensation package for employees. Other rewards may include short-term or annual bonuses, long-term incentives, and on-the-spot recognition. The annualized base pay range for this role is:

$55,000 - $75,000
