The Gogo Business Aviation Senior Manufacturing Test Engineer will be responsible for developing test methods, stations, and software, as well as supporting production personnel in testing Gogo’s products. Specifically, this position will be responsible for the test development of Gogo 5G products.

How will you make a difference?

  • Integrate information from a variety of sources to arrive at a broad understanding of issues 
  • Approach problems or issues systematically, looking for connections, trends, and root causes
  • Set up and troubleshoot test environments, leveraging our lab infrastructure
  • Troubleshoot complex issues across integrated systems, working with various stakeholders and SMEs to help identify root causes, suggest solutions, and drive to resolution
  • Contribute to multiple projects concurrently while optimizing for highest benefits and minimizing risks
  • Work with stakeholders and SMEs to develop and execute system integration and acceptance tests in a manufacturing environment
  • Diplomatically communicate technical issues and resolution paths to a variety of technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Contribute to all phases of the product software development life cycle from business case, design, and requirement review for manufacturing process impact to release/sustaining activities
  • Retrospect and apply lessons from past and current experiences to drive continuous improvements

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, a related field or comparable work experience
  • 4-7 years of test engineering and/or development experience


Required Skills & Experience

  • Ability to analyze and comment on business and technical requirements for testability and interoperability in a manufacturing environment
  • Experience documenting clear, repeatable, test cases and scripts from requirements
  • Ability to review and give concise constructive feedback on plans and tests created by partner teams. Experience providing design for manufacturing and test recommendations
  • Experience with end-to-end system testing
  • Intimate knowledge of Linux and command line/shell usage and scripting
  • Firm understanding of TCP/IP and networking
  • Familiarity with the complete Software Development Life Cycle
  • Ability to contribute in a fast-paced, highly dynamic, agile development environment
  • Experience with source code control systems such as Git
  • Test automation or scripting (Python, Groovy, other OO languages, and/or LabView)


Desirable Skills & Experience

  • Facilitation of UAT or UX testing
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills expressing complex topics
  • API or white box testing
  • Test automation or scripting (Python, Groovy, other OO languages, and/or LabView)
  • Agile and Scrum methodologies
  • Experience and/or interest in aviation, satellite or wireless communications, or aerospace
  • AWS or other cloud environments

Equal Pay Disclosure(s)

Base Pay:

100,000.00 - 125,000.00 USD Annual

Target Annual Short-Term Incentive:

Bonus Plan at 10% (% of Annualized Base Pay)
