The Opportunity:

For our Abbott Rapid Diagnostics Division (ARDx), we are looking for a Sales Executive to join our commercial team based in Zagreb.

This is a field-based regional role, requiring regular travel across Croatia.

The Sales Executive is responsible for driving profitable growth, building strong customer relationships, and expanding adoption of rapid diagnostic solutions across healthcare providers and key stakeholders.

What You'll do:

  • Full responsibility for sales quota, including forecasting and target achievement

  • Drive profitable growth and identify new business opportunities across the territory

  • Establish and develop strong relationships with healthcare providers, hospitals, KOLs, healthcare officials and distributors

  • Manage and develop assigned accounts, including pipeline management, opportunity management, and territory planning

  • Lead market development activities across Croatia

  • Manage and collaborate closely with local distributor(s) to drive sales performance

  • Build deep understanding of customer needs, market dynamics, competitors, and regulatory environment

  • Provide regular and accurate forecasts, market insights, and performance updates

  • Support contract negotiations and commercial agreements

  • Work cross-functionally with internal teams to ensure effective post-sales implementation and customer onboarding

  • Maintain a clear view of the strategic landscape within the territory and adjust actions accordingly

Required qualifications and background:

  • University degree in Business, Life Sciences, Medical or related field

  • Minimum 3–5 years of experience in diagnostics, medical devices, or healthcare sales

  • Proven track record in driving sales performance and developing new business

  • Experience working with hospitals, healthcare providers and/or distributors

  • Strong understanding of healthcare environment, stakeholders and market dynamics

  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills

  • Ability to work independently in a field-based role with a high level of ownership

  • Strong organizational, planning and territory management skills

  • Fluent in Croatian and English

  • Willingness to travel frequently (~70–80% field-based)
