Job Description

Summary:
We are looking for an experienced AWS Database Engineer/Architect who is passionate about cloud technology and has a deep understanding of AWS database services
Individual will work closely with customers to understand their unique business needs and provide expert guidance to ensure their database systems are secure, scalable, and performant
Individual must be capable of representing a DEVOPS team in application modernization and cloud migration projects providing direction and expert guidance. 
Individual will be working closely with other technologists in areas such as Oracle, SQl servers, Postgres

What you'll Bring

• Experience deploying, implementing and managing database solutions on AWS including RDS, Aurora, EC2 and more
• Experience with Oracle, Microsoft SQL Server, and familiarity with other RDBMS like MySQL or PostgreSQL.
• Experience with version control systems like Git or Bitbucket for managing SQL and database scripts is a MUST
• Strong Experience with CI/CD concepts and supporting tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI, or GitHub Actions is a MUST
• Strong Experience scripting in shell , cloud formation tempaltes, terraform and azure
• Strong Experience with DevOps pipelines and infrastructure-as-code (e.g., Terraform or scripting tools) is a MUST
• Strong Experience with AWS RDS, S3, EC2, and cloud-based database services is a MUST
• AWS Solution Architectire certification is a MUST
• Experience with  OEM administration and management, deploying management agents, troubleshooting, setting up metrics and alerts.
• Advance skill on shell scripting, crontab setup, design, review and implement automated solutions for routinary tasks. 
• Database patching and update for Oracle / Grid software across version 11g up to 19c . 
• RMAN backup recovery and restore procedure, deep understanding about recovery concepts, backup strategies and solutions. 
• Dataguard administration, understanding and implementation of Failover / Switchover / Roll forward. 
• Experience with replication services like AWS DMS / Golden Gate  / Data Guard. 
   

What you’ll be doing

• Manage IAM roles, KMS Keys, Blue green database patching, Database Encryption, certificats,policies, and accounts
• 50% database, 50% infrastructure (high availability, disaster recovery, monitoring and alerting, performance metrics, optimization, cost optimization)
• Architecture, design, development and integration of tools and technologies for delivery of new end-to-end enterprise solutions or enhancements of existing CICD solutions
• Participate in discovery sessions with business liaisons, technology vendors, business analysts to design and develop new scalable and secure Enterprise IT solutions Support Application
• Participation in design sessions for application modernization sessions to provide coverage for DEVOPS areas and Roadmap
• Stay up-to-date with emerging database technologies and recommend their implementation when appropriate
• Participate in database design reviews and provide constructive feedback
• Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business needs and provide data-driven solutions
• Stay abreast of industry best practices and emerging technologies in data storage, CI/CD, and DevOps to continuously improve our processes and solutions.
• Troubleshoot complex database issues under pressure
• Participates in oncall rotation as needed
• Off hours/weekend support required for any P1 issues or scheduled patching events as needed
