Position Summary
Develops and implements effective marketing and communications strategies to communicate the Clinical Research Training Center’s (CRTC) vision for supporting the mission of Washington University School of Medicine, and to ensure visibility of the programs and initiatives. Advises and collaborates with leadership and staff to develop print and digital communications and messaging to raise awareness of CRTC’s initiatives and programs. The position will also work with key campus offices and partners to promote targeted services and programs offered by the CRTC. Responsibilities support Washington University’s multi-institution NIH Clinical and Translational Science Award (CTSA). This position reports to CRTC Manager, and plans and executes the center’s marketing efforts and manages social media accounts.
Job Description
Primary Duties & Responsibilities:
- Coordinates the department’s social media marketing initiative, including Twitter, YouTube, Facebook and website updates: writes, edits and maintains content for social media outlets for the department, including blog entries and Facebook/Twitter updates; maintains a log of all social media initiatives and content managers related to the department; monitors conversations about the department on social media outlets/channels.
- Designs new marketing materials and updates outdated marketing materials such as physician biographical sketches, physician directories and wallet cards: works with vendors to get price quotes for marketing projects; works with key departmental personnel to ensure accuracy.
- Provides coordination and marketing support for department special events; available to work events as needed outside of normal business hours.
- Attends and coordinates photo shoots as necessary to support the Manager of Marketing Services.
- Assists Practice Development Manager with entering physician visits and events in Excel.
- Compiles folders for events to include handouts and evaluation sheets.

Salary Range
$49,700.00 - $82,100.00 / Annually
The salary range reflects base salaries paid for positions in a given job grade across the University. Individual rates within the range will be determined by factors including one's qualifications and performance, equity with others in the department, market rates for positions within the same grade and department budget.
