About This Role:

The Director of Cyber Fusion Center will lead cybersecurity operations, including incident management and response, vulnerability management, threat intelligence investigations, insider threat, threat hunting, red team, penetration testing, forensics and eDiscovery, automation, and artificial intelligence. This role requires proven experience in project management, program management, and continuous process improvement. Preferred candidates will have experience in the intelligence community, Department of Defense, or other US government agencies. The Director will be responsible for leading and building teams, including managed services at the operational level.

Job Description:

  • Oversee and manage the Cyber Fusion Center, ensuring effective incident management and response. 

  • Lead vulnerability management and attack surface management efforts to identify and mitigate security risks. 

  • Conduct threat intelligence investigations to proactively identify and address potential threats. 

  • Build and manage insider threat programs to detect and prevent internal security breaches. 

  • Direct threat hunting activities to uncover hidden threats within the organization. 

  • Supervise red team and penetration testing exercises to assess and improve security posture. 

  • Develop and implement intelligence strategies to enhance cybersecurity operations. 

  • Conduct incident response and table top exercises to ensure preparedness for cyber attacks. 

  • Implement and oversee the NIST CSF 2.0 framework to guide cybersecurity practices. 

  • Manage and improve relationships with managed service providers to ensure high-quality service delivery. 

  • Oversee forensics and eDiscovery processes to support investigations and legal proceedings. 

  • Implement automation and artificial intelligence solutions to enhance cybersecurity operations. 

  • Collaborate with various departments to ensure a cohesive and comprehensive security strategy. 

  • Drive continuous process improvement initiatives to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of cybersecurity operations. 

Required Qualifications: 

  • Bachelor’s Degree

  • 10+ years of experience in project management, program management, or continuous process improvement

  • 8+ years of leadership skills with a track record of building and managing high-performing teams, including managed services

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Highly desired experience in the US Government Intelligence Community and Department of Defense applicable cyber or intelligence operations roles. 

  • Preferred experience in the US government intelligence community, Department of Defense, or other US government agencies. 

  • Proven success in building intelligence programs, enhancing processes and procedures, and transitioning commodity to managed service providers. 

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with stakeholders at all levels, including executive leaders. 

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities to address complex cybersecurity challenges. 

  • Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CEH or equivalent are highly desirable
