The opportunity:
Join AIA New Zealand as a Learning and Development (L&D) Lead and take charge of driving organisational growth through strategic learning initiatives.
As a pivotal member of our Change and Capability function, you'll play a crucial role in designing, implementing, managing and delivering learning solutions that equip people with the capability to deliver on current and future organisational priorities.
Key responsibilities include:
Leading our L&D strategic planning process, and managing the end-to-end design, development, and delivery of critical enterprise-wide learning solutions e.g., Strategic Workforce Planning
Designing and delivering best-in-class blended learning and development solutions, ensuring there is a suitable balance between classroom-based learning and learning through other avenues including coaching, technology, and self-directed learning practices
Learning programme management and facilitation across a range of curriculum areas (including but not limited to new employee orientation, soft skills, and leadership training)
Developing and leading learning governance, standards and infrastructure that ensure sustainable and effective organisational learning solutions and promote our growth as a learning organisation
Cultivating a culture of continuous learning within the organization, and providing L&D technical leadership and coaching to the wider AIA NZ Learning Community
Providing expert advice on learning and development trends, best practices, and strategies to support informed decision-making
Researching and evaluating innovative learning strategies and technologies, recommending their application within the organization
Developing evaluation strategies to assess the impact of learning programmes and manage the Workday Learning system functionality
Ideally, you’ll bring:
Extensive experience (5+ years) in designing, delivering, and evaluating learning and development strategies and frameworks
Proficiency in co-design methods such as human-centred design, organisational change management and agile ways of working, with the ability to measure the impact of initiatives
Experience managing multi-disciplinary teams and leading complex business programmes, with strong influencing and communication skills particularly at Executive and Senior Leadership levels
Proven experience in project management, leading complex business programmes, managing outcomes and stakeholder expectations
Digital literacy, including proficiency in MS Office and familiarity with e-learning platforms
Tertiary qualification or professional certification in an appropriate discipline (Psychology, Education, Learning and Development) - qualifications in coaching or psychometrics is desired
Experience in the financial services industry or a corporate environment is desired
