The Anti-Money Laundering (AML) Reporting, Insights and Integration (RII) function is responsible for providing overall second line credible challenge, governance and oversight of the regulatory obligations associated with suspicious activity reporting, client exit and account closure, regulatory transaction reporting, regulatory non-transaction reporting, name searches and other AML obligations within Citi, globally.

The Integration, Governance and Control (IGC) - Controls sub-function within RII oversees and executes Manager’s Control Assessment for all RII functions which includes Regulatory Reporting (Transaction and Non-Transactional), Suspicious Activity Report, Global Funds Transfer, 314(a) search, Global Name Search and Account Closure. The AVP role is responsible for testing and monitoring key controls executed by RII functions and providing Subject Matter Expert (SME) guidance on several Enterprise MCA Profiles (EMP) owned by RII. Additional responsibilities include assessment and credible challenge of EMP adoption, issue mapping, analyzing MCA breaches, participating in working group forums, and producing MCA materials for various forums, to name a few.

The AVP role is expected to embrace the firm-wide MCA transformation efforts and become a SME on MCA future state framework and its operations. The AVP role is responsible for working with seniors and digesting and translating MCA transformation into internal desktop procedures, best practices, and relevant trainings. The overall objective is to utilize established disciplinary knowledge to identify areas requiring further governance and control build out and formulate the appropriate strategic recommendations on policies, procedures, and practices.

The AVP role has the responsibility to perform various ad hoc reviews to assess specific risk exposures, control designs and control performances, as well as manage various activities for RII functions globally, such as records management, enterprise resilience (continuity of business), and entitlement management.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform testing and monitoring of all key controls executed by RII functions; analyze control measures and recommend enhancements to reporting capabilities and process deficiencies, where applicable, while satisfying regulatory and audit commitments; assess and identify emerging risks and recommend / drive program enhancements.
  • Provide Subject Matter Expert (SME) guidance on several Enterprise MCA Profiles (EMP) owned by RII; assess and credible challenge EMP adoption, issue mapping and analyze MCA breaches.
  • Work on the MCA transformation efforts within RII functions and various programs RII oversees; evaluate, enhance, and implement internal desktop procedures and best practices in alignment with MCA transformation framework; develop and deliver relevant training materials to business and functional partners, when needed.
  • Support working group forums for information sharing across the RII organization; assist with creation of dashboards to track escalations, awareness items, internal/external review statuses; assist with BSA/AML Officer Notification Forums and II Oversight Committee meetings to prepare the meeting materials, taking meeting minutes and tracking follow-up actions, when needed.
  • Manage various activities for RII functions globally, such as records management, enterprise resilience (continuity of business), and entitlement management.
  • Support the build-out and implementation of a governance and oversight framework, globally; drive various global projects to advance the RII Program and is a key contributor to other strategic AML initiatives, where applicable.
  • Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients, and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency.
  • Additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • 5+ years relevant experience, preferably with significant knowledge and expertise in AML Regulatory Reporting and AML controls program preferred.  Governance and control experience a plus.
  • AML Certification (CAMS certified) preferred.
  • Self-starter who is energetic and responsive team player with a proven ability to take initiative and work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong critical thinking and a desire to innovate, drive change and challenge the status quo.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills being able to deliver clear and concise summaries, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to problem-solve and comprehend end-to-end program processes in complex organizations.
  • Excellent follow-up and time management skills.
  • Highly proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint) and SharePoint. 
  • Has the ability to operate with a limited level of direct supervision.
  • Can exercise independence of judgement and autonomy.

Primary Location Full Time Salary Range:

$79,120.00 - $118,680.00
